Heavy wall round bottom vessels have an internal thread for use with a 15mm and 25mm PTFE bushing as a pressure seal. This unique design allows hand tightening and loosening for easy access into the vessel. The O-ring is positioned on the bushing below the thread for improved sealing. The vessels are useful for pressure reactions and applications such as polymerization and analysis of halogens by thermal decomposition with lime. The exterior of the pressure vessel is coated with a high-quality coating material, which avoids the risk of the product bursting during the experiment and thus increases the safety of the experiment. The complete apparatus is supplied with vessel, PTFE bushing and PTFE-coated O-ring. * Please note: The pressure vessels are made from heavy wall borosilicate glass 3.3 tubing and can be used under normal conditions for applications with pressures of up to 6 bar. Due to the properties of the coating material, the surface may yellow after use, which does not impair its use. The coating must be used between -40°C and 80°C; excessive temperatures will melt the coating. Important warnings for glass pressure vessels: Due to varying conditions of use (corrosive solutions, temperatures, duration), we cannot guarantee that the glass vessels will withstand the pressure. Evacuate or pressurise the pressure vessels slowly. Carry out a careful visual inspection of the pressure vessels before every use. Scratches cause a severe loss of stability and can lead to consequential damage. Please observe all safety precautions and always work behind a safety shield.
