What to include when you ask about a product
The joint sizes involved
Tell us what the new piece has to connect to. A size on its own is not enough — 24/40 and 24/29 both start at 24 mm and are not interchangeable. If you are unsure, the joints guide shows how to read them.
What it is for
Vacuum or atmospheric, what solvents, what temperature range, and roughly what scale. This changes the answer more than anything else, especially for filtration and pressure work.
A photograph, if it is a replacement
If you are replacing part of an existing setup, a photo with a ruler or a known object for scale is usually faster than a description. Attach it to your email.
Not sure what you need at all? Describe the experiment rather than the glassware. We would rather work back from what you are trying to do than guess at a part number. The technical guides also cover the questions that come up most.
